First ride for 2017
« on: January 23, 2017, 06:52:37 AM »
Here in Vancouver we had a heavy snowfall before Christmas that turned to ice. It melted just in time to venture out to the Abbotsford motorcycle show so on Friday I bundled up and rode my 72 Eldo out. The big advantage of riding out is you get to park up front right near the entrance for free, along with a free ticket from a dealer it was a cheap show. There was a strong showing by Guzzi, 10 different models I'll try to attach some pictures from my shoe-fone later.
Sunday was also a nice day so the California II got to stretch her legs out in the valley for our weekly coffee meet.
It sure feels good to be riding again.

Some Non Guzzi content, my pick of the Harleys because my Uncle rode one in 1920 after returning from WWI

Sounds excellent. Bizarre mild temps here in the Midwest meant I was able to run about a bit as well. Very odd for mid January. Always wonderful to get up to speed after several weeks. Never stops being a thrill. Was able to test my new (to me) windscreen at highway speeds. Just a nice reminder how much I love my bike.

Looking forward to those pics!

Kiwi Roy your lucky. Couldn't make down Abbotsford this year.  Here in the Okanagan valley it was raining and a little on the chilly side.  Did you run into any other Guzzi riders like Corey or Kiwi Dave.  Looking forward to seeing some pictures.

No those guys must have gone later. I took advantage of the low turnout on Friday, to tell the truth I was a little disappointed they have increased the booth price and frozen out a lot of the smaller vendors.

Good on ya Roy for getting the Goose out for a romp.
My Wife and I were out on Sat as well as Corey and others.

Looking forward to seeing you and all at coffee when I'm back out on the road.

Ciao

I was thinking of going there to look for some leather trousers - would it have been worth it?
