NGC-stolen Christmas
« on: December 19, 2016, 01:55:07 PM »
For the past decade or more, the wife (mostly) and I (support role), have been involved with Families helping Families. Today was gift delivery at another cause of ours, The Nurturing Center. As I understand it, one of the program graduates has her 3 children back after cleaning up, good solid job and an apartment. Her cousin fostered the kids. The cousin sent paperwork to FhF for the little girl but not the boys. The gifts arrived, the cousin appropriated them and left town. Emergency procedures have been implemented.

Merry Christmas to All, Especially to the Children.
Joe

I appreciate the kind words. I wrote of this not to highlight our efforts but to tell a story. I suppose a Christmas Story for our modern times. The true meaning of Christmas for us is not so much tangible gifts but the ones of the heart and soul. All of us are unique individuals with unique lives. There will never be another self. Cherish every moment for good or bad. In the end, who we are means more than what we are.

Merry Christmas

Someone once said, " you can pick you friends but you can't pick your relatives ."

Someone stole the Christmas cheer for many in Berlin yesterday . Sad.

Thats a heartwarming story ,Joe, Well done!

Tom, when I heard the news yesterday, about the X mas market attack, first one I thought of was you, and the story you posted a few weeks ago, about what they do in Germany, and thought it was so cool. Its a darn shame someone had to cause so much unnecessary pain and suffering.
Christmas blessings to you, and your lovely wife!
Rick.
