I've seen these listed close to ten k lately....stainless and mistral, gilardoni, what else do you need?

Sheeeez...that's a mis-price cuz it's about right.

Thanks for posting Chuck.  Low (?) price, Minneapolis telephone number for  a bike advertised in LA,.... beginning to see a skinny rodent tail hidden behind the lovely old Loop.... Texted the # anyway, will post as more info is known

The photos look more like a Minneapolis than an LA neighborhood. The bike is not advertised on the Minneapolis Craigslist, which would be a logical additional place to advertise it. I doubt the ad's legitimacy too.

I don't know...the verbiage in the ad is too "well written", as in not Nigerian. Most of the CL scams that I've seen, are poorly written, and with an unbelievable low price.

This ad is well written, even has real "Guzzi" content. The price does seem low though...

I exchanged a couple texts with the seller and he says the bike  http://phoenix.craigslist.org/evl/mcy/5898296866.html is in Phoenix.  I wish I could travel to Phoenix and ride that V700 back, but the week before Christmas , I just aint got the time. Maybe one of our fellow local Guzzisti can check it out? Still a bit cynical as whether the ad is  legit

that looks like a 1968 v700 .
the paint scheme , the small gas tank ( check the petcock location ) , the tail light, foot controls....

IF legit , it would have not lasted at that price given the almost perfect condition and the engine upgrades.
there is a grand for gilardonis and gaskets, another 650 bucks for the mistrals , paint job like that it's not cheap.

4200 ? hell yes , i would buy it now. ( but i already have two ambassador and too many guzzis ... )

I  may be wrong but i think to remember that bike listed on e bay a while ago, there was also a video of the bike running.... and i remember the same : trade for KTM .

Anyway.... if legit , buy it now. thats a steal.

If it is in fact a V700 the valve covers have been replaced with the later ones like on the 750s and Eldos.

It doesn't have the speedo drive going through the side cover, either. I think it's an Ambo.
