2004 Cali Hydro Connecting Rod Bolt Torque?
«

I have conflicting torque specs for the connecting rod big end bolt.
In a .pdf manual and thisoldtractor torque specs. In
Newton Meters
the locking cap nuts should be 46-48NM. If I scroll down the .pdf manual to where it shows the specs for the connecting rod, it's showing 60-65NM.
What is the correct torque in foot or Newton for the
bolt
only style? This model does not use the bolt and nut like an old Eldo.
Thank you!!

I believe that is right. When I pulled on them to break them loose from the 47nm I did, it was way to easy compared to what they were originally.
Thanks again!

The only value I can find in my manual is the 60-65nm.

Thank you Wayne!
After quite a bit of research and the help here, the 60-65NM appears to be the proper torque for the
Bolt only
style rods at least on this bike and possibly all with the bolt only. The bolt and nut combination uses much less, more like a old Eldo, but a little bit higher.
Thanks again!!

On the Stelvio (8V motors) they are 80Nm. Pretty tight.

I think they may use a different maker for the rods. There is an after market rod that is torqued that high, can't remember the name.
