Norge with gpr furore pipe?
« on: January 08, 2017, 11:46:28 AM »
Anyone have this muffler on a new Norge? Great look and price point.
Sound?
Mapping issues?

Thanks

I assume the stock pipe?
I don't have Norge yet but test rode one and loved it except the muffler and no sound.

I have the GPR Albus on a 2014 Norge and have liked it.  It's got a similar size/shape to the Furore but the baffles appear slightly more restrictive on my Albus.  I left both dB busters in place and retained the accumulator.  Runs good, not too loud and has a deep, mellow tone.  Not a tiring drone on trips.  A bit of off-throttle burble.  I currently have one of Beetle's lambda off, no-pop maps but when the snow melts, I think I'll put on the stock exhaust map of his on.  The quality was nicer than expected and even the packaging was surprisingly nice with cloth, draw string bags holding the pieces.  It fit perfectly and there was no problem installing.  The metal finish even matched up nicely to the Norge materials.  Here are some photos:

If you do a GPR product, keep us posted on results as it seems the odd item in here without much direct information discussed.

Wow stunning bike!
I have those knight pegs on my LeMans and they are great.
Any fit issues on the Norge?

Just a slight touch on the stand but a 1/8" rubber spacer inserted at the bump stop area keeps it separate now.

Do happen to know what cable I need for the Norge?
Would it be the same cable I have for the 04 LeMans by chance?

I have this set:

Worth getting the known, preferred entity (don't ask how I know!).  It was reasonably priced and delivered surprisingly fast.  Someone with more knowledge than I have would need to respond re: the 2004 LeMans.

Have you or plan to modify the airbox?

Same cable talks to both bikes, choose which bike on GuzziDiag preferences.

I don't plan to.  I can't recall now about who discouraged me from doing this or even running a free-flow (like K&N)...  Apparently not the bottleneck in the system as it's about the same volume and filter as the 140hp Aprilias.  It sounded like the tuning within the system may not be variable enough to take much advantage of it.  Again, I'm going by vague memory (getting more vague with age) but I recall feeling convinced that it wasn't worth the complications for keeping driveability reasonable as a trade-off for very minimal high rpm power gains.
