Bosch plug chipped nose

The Eldo was reluctant to start so I had a look at the plugs.  It did start and run...

A-install new plugs.  Same Bosch.
B-where did that piece of porcelain go?

Possibly, but weak ignition can look like that.

 A plug like that can be caused by detonation .....Oil contaminates the fuel air mixture increasing the possibility of detonation.Sometime s detonation is so severe pieces of piston break off..Is that an older bike with chrome plated cylinders?.....Or it's just a defective plug... The piece could have been blown out the exhaust... If a bore scope is handy you may want to have a look inside the cylinder...

New plugs and went for a ride.    No plans to take the bike apart this season.  The old warhorse will just have to soldier on.
