After scouring the internet for help and finding nothing on this install, I decided to create a pictorial
"How to."

The alarm that MG USA sells is actually not OEM but is an aftermarket brand that Moto Guzzi incorporated into the OEM 1400 cc wiring harness and is common to the Eldorado / California Custom & the Audace.
It is manufactured by Meta System in the UK:   http://www.metasystem.org.uk/vehicles_alarms.aspx

MG part #: CODE:2D000027

The instructions that comes with the alarm include no schematic or any help whatsoever on installation but rather you "Contact an authorized dealer..." :

OK, so now is the instal "Cliff notes"

1) Remove the three 4mm allen screws from the left side cover and expose the inner wires, etc. *Note: the seat lock is attached to the cover, just let it hang.

2) Locate the female 9 pin connector; attach the Meta System alarm male 9 pin, (*Only 8 "Live" pins are used.)

3) There are no matching mounting bosses for the alarm so use the supplied tie wraps and sticky foam for backing as best you can.

*This pix shows no similar mounting bosses.

4) Plug in the 2 pin alarm LED indicator light that came with alarm. (*The 2 pin connector for this is a spur from the wiring harness in proximity to the left side where the alarm would be mounted.)

5) The LED comes with double side sticky that is easily mounted on the frame forward of the left cover, (*Or wherever you think looks good.)
*Mount the seat and eyeball location before sticking the LED indicator so as to see a more "Clean" installation.

The alarm is "Motion sensitive" and will "Auto-disable" the bike after 50 seconds. There is a way to prevent this by holding the alarm fob button for two seconds and only the alarm siren will then function. I see this as a deterrent system. Any professional can steal any motorcycle but this system will deter/prevent a majority of thieves.
