I know this may be sacrilege to the community, but this was the best idea I had after finding a rusty Lario that hadn't run in 13 years in a friend's barn. All the bodywork was cracked, and it needed a ton of creative work. The build took a bit longer than I'd planned (around 6 months)

It's only sacrilege when you chop up a really nice original bike. That looks fantastic, and getting it done in six months is impressive.

She rides beautifully. The sound is entrancing, but most interestingly, the bike doesn't feel dated at all.

To one of the prior questions about the valves- I punted. The bike only had 6k miles total, and there wasn't any visible wear. I realize this won't last, but I wanted to get back on the road. Assuming I keep it, I'll probably do one of the valve conversions.

Tank I found on a business trip to Germany.
I made the seat pan and seat
Brake discs came from Milan - and were pricey.

I do have a Pitts Model 12. I've built 4 planes - that was the first.

I would like to replace the rotors on the Aero Lario.
You've been busy. The Model 12 design isn't that old. I've built or restored 5 now, but that's been over a period of 40 years.. what else have you built?
