Tire change and Traction control Cal 14

Can changing from OEM Dunlops to Exedra's have anything to do with a traction control fail warning? The Cali 1400 that I just won, (eBay), supposedly has that issue and cause. I am suspicious and before I blind trust that this is the "easily corrected by going back to OEM tires", I thought I would ask the in-forum brain trust.
Here are the current owners words,                                                                                                                                           "The Dimensions of the Bridgestone tires slightly differ from the Original Dunlops.
This causes the traction control system to disengage.  The orange service light for the traction control is on due to this condition. 

You can pay dealership to re-calibrate the sensors to work with the Bridgestone's - I was just going to ride it out and get Dunlop's at the next tire replacement.  This is the only "temporary" deficiency that I am aware of.

Yes of corse it can. It's all working on wheel speed.

Just go in and re-calibrate it, (A PITA BUT NOT *Hard*!). Instructions are in the book.

Traction control is easy to recalibrate, just a few button pushes & a short ride.. so easy in fact I'm amazed the seller hasn't done it?..

I did mine yesterday, after goosing around in the dashboard where I shouldn't have been.

The trick is to ride 18 km/h +/- 2 km/h for a while so the system has recalibrated.  This is not easy to do, maintaining that tolerance of speed is tricky (to me).  Finding a road without holding up other vehicles locally is not easy either.

I never seem to observe that the calibration has completed.  I just switch the motor off for 30 seconds, turn the ignition back on, and select one of the traction control modes.  If it has calibrated correctly, it will be available, otherwise try again.
