Not to mention that one has a title and the other does not - and the seller says all it would take is $75 and some time. If so, why didn't it get done already?

I don't know, that seems like a good deal to me. Bikes look a little rough, but a couple of wiring harnesses and an easily obtained title  in NH. I'd go look at them if I was closer.

Way too much $$ for that amount of "patina"

The seller can't even be bothered to wash them before trying to sell them. Just a slight amount of effort could go so far.

Makes me feel good about my recent LmIII purchase (ironically in Nashua, NH also) which looks
way better than either of those bikes and runs like raped ape for $6k.....

A scruffy pair!

The V7 Sport has repainted tank and tool boxes, black exhaust (painted over chrome?), non stock 36mm carbs, an aftermarket steering damper, wrong shock absorbers, and oil cooler added up front, aftermarket switch gear the steering lock looks buggered and horror of horrors a Harley Davidson speedometer!
No mention if the cylinders have been replaced, judging by the general appearance of it I would set aside at least $5K to get it all sorted and returned to stock, probably on the light side. I peg a super nice Sport at $17 ~ $19K, so this one should be worth no more than $10K tops, but would probably struggle to fetch $8K.

The LM III isn't exactly gorgeous either, $3 ~ $4K bike?

All in $14K absolute top money, so the seller is in the ball park, its a gamble on the condition of the bikes and one could end up spending a lot of money to get them both in top shape.
