Actually, the injector boots on the V9 are prone to crack and they're usually replaced at no cost at the dealership surging the regular maintenance.

There's a recall (at least in Europe) for some V9s to install a little piece of metal between the ABS and some brake hoses I believe, but it seems just a precaution by Moto Guzzi, nothing really serious about safety concern.

In the US, they see it as a significant issue and a safety bulletin was issued to change the routing and (if needed) replace the front brake line. There's another thread where the link for the recall was posted.

Just brought the bike home. Just have to wait for the injector protection boots and the rear brake cylinder protection plate to come in. Rides awesome!! Looking forward to putting some miles on it before I get those parts in. Then I can bring it in for it's first service at the same time.

I will take a picture and post it on here regarding the injector protection boots.

That's the high quality European rubber! I had a guy call 3 times now, his 2014 V7 has been at that shop for 3 months waiting to have the clutch release bearing replaced. He brought them the part when he dropped off the bike. He's tired of their excuses and was supposed to drop it here last week. I haven't heard from him, maybe they finally got it done.

Over here the UV gets to those boots in a few weeks. To the best of my knowledge they aren't available as a separate part are they? It would mean replacing the loom?

The ones on my Griso died eight years ago, never done anything about it. The Turdio doesn't have them because at some time in its wretched life a PO fitted a Power Corruptor so the injector plugs and boots have all been hacked up and are now wrapped in a gazzillion miles of insulation tape! I love it, it just adds to its turdiness!

Pete, that could be! I did look for those boots in my parts book many times and could not find them. Anyway, new bike under warranty, I brought it to there attention, lets see what they do.
