Speedometer options for V7 Racer v1
« on: July 27, 2017, 08:32:37 PM »
Hi

I'm looking at doing some mods for the coming summer (Australia), I want to clean up the front of the bike by removing the front fairing, so the cluster has to go as I think its messy, I was looking at an integrated Light& speedo but was also looking at a cleaner cluster which would still achieve a similar look.
Does anyone know if the Guzzi Audace speedo would fit the V7 racer or are there other alternatives that anyone has tried?

Cheers

Not only are functions like the indicators controlled by the dash but the pin-out, canbus functions and parameters used in the Cali 14 unit are all going to be wildly different. A non-started for certain. There may be some sort of aftermarket dash that would work but it will involve a lot of work and you'll need a sub loom for the indicators at least.

A huge PITA I'd think. Life's too short.

Pete

Damn! thanks for the advice, BAK make an integrated light Speedo but not sure if its plug n play, and it's also expensive, I'll probably get a new Saddle from them as the price is fair but everything else is over priced.

cheers
