Check Greg's website out.  He's in Cave Creek.    http://www.thisoldtractor.com/
That's an incredible resource. Thanks.

Moto Guzzi cruisers continually get good marks for handling from the motorcycle press. That one you got is a beauty! Congratulations and welcome!

I have a 96 cali which I use as my second bike.  Bought it several years ago, pretty much same thing.  Sitting at a dealership, unridden for a year.  I bought it for a song.

I also have a Rich Maund custom seat for that bike if you are interested.  Will make you a great deal.  Seat will get you higher and further back than the stock one.  e-mail is Marty@firearmsacademy.com

Now that I think about it, my bike came with an original set of leather Guzzi saddle bags, which I also would part with.  I ended up putting Hepco-Becker bags on mine.

If you bought it in Prescott then you must have dealt with Jim Knaup of EPF.  Straight up dude!  Used to host the Arizona Rally some years back.  Also, as someone pointed out above, you live very near to Greg Bender in Cave Creek.  One of the most knowledgeable Guzzi people in the west.  He specializes in older models but has newer FI machines as well.  You should contact him through his site.

BTW, Regina and I have two 98 EV's.  Essentially the same bike as yours.  Mine is just over 100K and hers is just slightly behind that.  Mostly trouble free and easy to maintain once you know the personality quirks.

:1: on Pat's comments.  Here's another AZ guy that's a good resource.  Carl Allison has his wiring diagrams as a sub page on  Greg Bender's website.  He's over in Payson.  IIRC He had maybe 3  bikes.  Haven't talked with him in a while.

I STRONGLY urge you to consider this. I too have a Maund, and as I understand it, he's out of the game. The improvement over stock, and the quality, cannot be overstated.
