Tourmaster Cruiser III saddlebags for V7II

Was looking at these for my V7II. Anyone using them? Not sure if the large or X-Large would be better.

I like them because they hold their shape when empty.  the bike is my daily rider and grocery-getter.

Of course if you have another suggestion I am open to it. Just looking to get the most bang for my

Those look like decent bags, for soft panniers. I used soft bags on smaller bikes years ago. The thing to remember is you have to secure them to the bike with straps on the bags themselves, not just the top strap.
They will sag when loaded fully, and can shift depending on how your attachment points work.
Hard cases are worth the money, and saving a little longer is worth it in the long run.
Hepco Becker makes the C-Bow line that would be less expensive than a full rack and bags.
Just my personal experience, the C-Bow system would hold up much better, and be much more secure.

Do you have at absolute minimum a set of hand grab rail on your V7ii?

If not, I would caution you using soft saddlebag.

I had something similar and they actually folded inward toward my tires and touched the side wall.

No major damage but it did scrap and left my tires looking quite brown.

unless I am an idiot and tied my bags wrong (top straps + 2 to passenger pegs + 2 to license plate mount), I advise just fork up the dollar and get a hard rail mount bags.

I had my soft bags stretch in the rain and rest on the mufflers.  It was a mess.  They melted on the mufflers, on my camera and computer, and on themselves.  The holes let water in.  The rest of my stuff was damaged or soaked.  I'd bought them "just to try".  It was a very expensive experiment.

Sounds like I should check out the C-Bow.

The only time I had soft luggage was on my Honda CB900C. They were a pair of saddletotes. Wasn't real happy but made them work. Was hoping they were made better since then!

I had a set of those on my old V7 Cafe for about a year, and they served me well. That bike had upswept mufflers, but the bags were adjustable and even loaded they cleared by at least an inch. The bottoms were heat-insulated, came with rain covers, and there were neoprene liners to avoid scratching the paint. Properly tied down they didn't shift, yet were easy to unzip when you got to your destination.

I liked them enough that I got a different model of TourMaster throw-over bags for my new V9. I don't take that many long trips, and it's nice to have something that is completely removable but installs in seconds when you need luggage.

I had originally looked at the Tourmaster bags for my V7II Stone. After looking at them and doing some research I ended up with the Hepco & Becker C-Bow system. They work well for me.

I'm liking these Viking soft bags I got this summer.  Only had them for ~1000 miles so far and no rain but they are holding shape and working well so far... and inexpensive to boot.  Nice that they work well with the upswept pipes of the racer.

I have fairly good sized Cor-Techs that I use on the T-3. One needs to have a metal rack that attaches to the bike and acts like a spacer between the bike and the bags. A friend made a set for me and it works well. The spacer keeps the bags from rubbing against the shocks and also provides a bit of bracing and support that helps reduce sag and keeps the proper bag shape better.
The Cor-Techs have been quite weather resistant and the mounting system works well and is quite adaptable.

Interesting that when I contected Viking Bags they replied they had nothing that would fit my  7II. Will check with them again V7racer.

Side note...I am loving my new V7II..quite the machine!!!

I had the same response when I request info for my V7 Stone...It seems the tech there does not work with Moto Guzzi bikes...or at least not a lot of it to comment.

I like the look of a record fairing. Nice Bike. Is that a wired in camera just off the mirror? Cool thought; especially if it is easy to trigger at will.

Good eye, yes that's one of the Innovv dash cams that I got along with a bunch of others on here with a group buy ~2 years ago.
It's annoying to program but once set up runs constantly with ignition on and with the card I've got will record ~10 hours before over writing.
Never know when I might want to save footage from a ride...

One other note about the Viking bags.  They come with plenty of straps etc to buckle to the bike and together etc BUT, no instructions of any kind.  Be prepared to figure out the mounting yourself.  Not terribly tough but if you read reviews it seems a lot of people can't figure them out.

Cool with the cam! My GoPro vibrate like mad when mounted near the handle bar. Have yet to find a good spot and don't feel like to mount on helmet as it fell off twice already...

As for straps, I think I am a pro at it now with no instructions lol...hmm, this is making me want to get another soft bag now

I have some Tourmaster softbags I bought 18 years ago.  They work fine.  Haven't used them so much since I have the Guzzi HBs.  I like Tourmaster stuff.
