A ride report of sorts..
« on: April 09, 2020, 07:45:22 PM »
If it's got 2 wheels and a handlebar, count me in !
12 miles never took so long. 2 hours of riding in perfect isolation.
Govt approved! Giving the Guzzi a short hiatus but ramping up my time communing with nature.
Got a 29" Trek Rumblefish (Gary Fisher Collection) bicycle. 30 speeds.
Hydraulic Disk Brakes(with wee little brake pads!) Full Suspension. She's a little overbuilt but so am I. Lol.
There are wonderfully maintained (bicycle specific) trails just waiting to be ridden. Nature is calling. Let's go Ride!
In my area, SORBA(Southern off road Bicycle Association) members get credit for these fabulous "loops" through the woods.
Olde Rope Mill park is one of my "go to" areas. The following photos are from my ride yesterday. This park is great for kayaking also, as the Little River runs through it. A Train Trestle can be found upstream and ,deep into the bike trail, can be found just a few feet off of said trail. As the name implies, this was the location of a 100 yr old Rope Mill and remnants, including the Raceway with Sluice gates, can still be observed. Hope y'all enjoy the pics!
