My Anniversario is arriving in about 30 minutes (I got the call when typing this)!  Other than cosmetic stuff, and will she start, what should I absolutely check before accepting delivery?

I'll give her quick trip up the street, and check out the clutch feel.

Before you even do that, take a look at the freeplay gap @ the lever, and check the gear arm orientation by the gear box...

UNLESS they change the clearance for the Anniversary, the gap of free play @ the lever is 2~3mm

The clutch cable should be relatively 90 degree to the arm when the clutch lever is NOT PULLED. My is a V7 so arm is hidden under the bike.

Your arm should be accessible from the right side of the bike.

It all depends on what you paid for, if a dealer then check dealer prep, the driver has no interest in making the bike right only to deliver it undamaged.
Check the L/H handlebar adjuster for clutch, they come loose from factory.

this is true...

but sometimes it is better pay attention to spots that MAY be wrong so can catch in time NOT be wrong...

also might give you the sense of how good the dealer actually is

Good luck, sure it will be great.  I swore you took delivery of this bike like two husband bikes and a year ago.  The anticipation must have killed you.

Please be sure to post up your impressions tonight.  I love my Anniversario.

Bought her on Aug. 22nd, and got her Sept. 22nd..  All in all, not bad.  Heading to the MVD in a few, to make her official.  Gotta have those vanity plates!
