Someone has installed a Convert Xmsn in a California EV. Anyone know who that was? Like to contact him.

Fotoguzzi, that's the coolest paint scheme I've ever seen...did you design it?

As far as the automatic conversion, will the TC and bellhousing bolt up to both an Eldo crank/cases AND and EV crank/cases, or was there machining and adapting involved? Please steer me to a conversion discussion which I'm sure exists, just wondering in a general sense right now.

that is standard  color scheme of the SP 1000, about 81?

once you have the flywheel off either Eldo or EV the vert FW bolts right up then you use the drive line from a Convert.. I don't know how that works out on the loop frame, since I used a Vert frame and just put the EV motor in.. my trickiest part was adding triggers for the flywheel sensor (The torq convert will not fit on a 5 speed FW) .  If you use a 5M instead of the big ECU in the 98 EV, that only uses the cam sensor and that is on the cam gear.. you do need a Convert camshaft to run the ATF pump and you use the timing cover from a vert on the EV block.

Wow, never knew that, it's my new favorite Guzzi scheme. So, you took a Convert and swapped in SP sheet metal and EV motor? Clever! That early-Tonti bench saddle is the most comfortable I've ever ridden on, but your 2-seater looks cooler!

I am still amazed that the flywheel and timing cover bolt patterns (and camshaft!) were the same on both engines....guess if there's no need to change them, and probably significant tooling savings at the factory...

Thanks for the info!
