Strongly reminds me of my first bike, a Honda CB400F.

It was for sale yesterday, but since he just sold one of his Dodge/Mercedes Sprinters, there's room to store it now and he decided to keep it a bit longer.

I think they actually were Benellis, badge-engineered into Guzzis.

Ian Fallons history of Moto Guzzi has  it listed as a 1999 V11 GT

did it ever get past proto type  stage

No. Guzzi was out of money at the time.. surprise surprise. This was at the time of the Aprillia takeover, so the V11S is the last of the *real* Guzzis.  :evil: :smiley:
