Fats Domino

I just heard on the radio that music legend Fats Domino passes away at age 89, I was lucky enough to see him perform years ago.

I think anyone would recognize his voice, and has had one of his songs rolling around in their head more than a few times.
Gifted man, for sure

Never saw him in person, would not have passed up a chance had it come.

Key man in transition from R&B to R&R. Big influence on Chuck Berry, Elvis Presley and everyone who followed.

Being from New Orleans, Fats Domino has provided the soundtrack of many days for me. My daughter (a big rock-a-billy fan) loves his music, too. In his latter years I hoped for more recordings, but I suppose he has given us all he had to give. Godspeed, Antoine...
