Who Makes that!!!

I picked up my bike from Antietam Classic cycle in Maryland. Charlie did a great job and it really running nice. I brought it to work the other day and I saw more people taking pictures and asking questions. While others came in to see who owned that little bike. It was really comical! One guy even fed the meter for me so I wouldnt get a ticket!

V50II, original format. Lovely! Mine looked just like that for 30+ years, then I decided to "renovate" it. My "edited" version gets rid of the nits that annoyed me in the factory edition and resets the ergos to just what I had wanted for all those years. Also a significant degree of modernization. The (lightly cafe'd) result is very pleasing to me, but I still respect the original. I did no frame modifications (only a few small de-tabs), and kept all the original parts, so my bike could easily be returned to factory configuration if wanted.
I think the V50II is probably the sweet spot of the early smallblock series: It avoids the chrome cylinders of the V50, being one of the first Guzzis with Nikasil bores; and, with the Bosch electronic ignition (hassel-free), it escapes the woeful cam-mounted points of the V50III (and the lamentable brown livery).
Great refresh, Charlie! Congratulations on a beautiful bike, Charlie! Ride on!

I have a maroon with gold trim. It also has a V65 engine that was in a red V65 SP that Frank Wedge use to own. Ended up in Hawaii. Heard that the rest of the bike ended up down a ravine somewhere after the bodywork was sold and the engine transplant.

I rode a V50 once like that and it reminded me of my RD350.
