1100 Griso pod filters.
« on: November 09, 2017, 09:33:03 PM »
Gidday all. I'm asking this on behalf of a fellow Guzzi fan. Has anyone here fitted pod filters to a Griso? If they are fitted will the fuel system compensate perhaps by way of the 02 sensor?
Cheers, voncrump

The 2V 1200 Sport had the option of air filter elimination with it's stage 1 kit. So there is no reason why it could not be done with the almost identical 1100 Griso motor. Whether it is a good idea is another matter.

It is an appallingly bad idea. If you want to go ahead? Knock yerself out but you will achieve absolutely NOTHING in terms of performance and will wear your motor out far quicker.

Assuming Grisos have an airbox? I would leave it in place.

My experience of bike filters is that airboxes generally work better than pod filters - of course airboxes can be improved upon and possibly better filters can be found? but a good sized airbox is generally a good thing.

That said I've got one bike with pod filters and my Guzzi has no filters whatsoever...
