i had to pull the gearbox on my T5 again. Lifting the cover was a bit of a prob, took a lot of levering and gentle bashing. at one point the internals started to lift about 1/2inch so i started again.
got cover off and when replacing found tghat the gear selector drum appears to be too high in the box to allow cover to go back on. it seems solid with no lateral movement, i dont want to pul to hard in case i do something else - has it lifted out of its seat ? the Cluster shaft also appears to be high do i need to strip the box out to fix it - or is there an easy fix anyone know ?
I have a copy of Pete Roper's guide
