I was surprised there was no sound, too. Just want to post the link to let you guys and gals know that NE Ohio has some nice happenings due to being on the "North Coast" of the USA. This event is only a couple of years old, and I wasn't aware of it until I stumbled across a small ad announcing it. Now I can't locate the streaming link on their site in case the weather turns wet and I want to watch the races at home. Oh, well.
BTW, we have another 'boat' family from the area that raced back when. Here's a video (1955) showing Lou Fageol at speed in Slo Motion V. The restaurant (Eddie's) where the Guzzi riders hold breakfast the 2nd Sunday of every month has lots of commercial bus stuff that was build by the Fageol family's businesses.
These old hydroplanes amaze me, and the guts it took to sit behind a 1500hp Allison or Rolls Royce V12, with only three points of contact with the water, amazes me even more.
