New Moto Guzzi Door Mats Available Now
You must not have liked my explanation.
it's really pretty simple and straightforward though time-consuming especially as many of the lines are routed tightly through the frame and body work.As with most things you need to begin with the end in sight. The end state is that both of the vent/drain lines that come from the tank should be connected into a t with a line extending down 2 below the engine and transmission so that any gas fumes or overflow from filler exit down and low.The other end state is that the air bleed taps on each throttle body need to be either capped or connected together with one of the leftover lines.Take your time and remove everything. Unless you want to save it for posterity sake and possible reinstallation you can cut the lines where convenient.I've removed the system from a Norge and a 1200 sport as they are almost the same. just take your time and if you end up with the two end States I mention above you'll be fine.
Just to jump in here and ask... Is either capping or linking the two intake vac taps better? Any reason you should do one or the other? I removed the canister on my 02 Cali stone, and just connected the two. Any reason its better to just cap?
I connect mine. In theory connecting the two should help balance the intake track much in the same way as a crossover works on the exhaust. This was recommended to me by the techs at Moto International back in 2015.
