Bye y'all. I'll surely miss a MG for awhile but I bought the MGX in a momentary weakened state of lust only to discover it was not a match made in Heaven. 1019 miles. I plan on frequenring this site to be sure. It's been both entertaining & rewarding.
Hey Pete, save me some learning time & please tell me what's wrong with my new Bonnie. LOL
Also, if I may here. I have several MG specific MGX options all in new condition for 40% off MSR price. If interested please PM me. Thanks, I'll see ya on the road even if I don't know ya.

I've put a few miles on my buddy's 2016 T120.  Quite a nice bike!  Totally different from the MGX, for sure.  Enjoy your new ride.

Well, a MGX21 is a massive cruiser bike, whereas a Triumph T120 is more like a mid-size standard.   I’d prefer the standard too. 

Just curious, but did you consider the Guzzi analog to the T120, which would be a small block?

The torque of the 1200cc T120 is in a completely different ballpark than the small block Guzzi.
The 900cc (T100 and Street Twin) would be more comparable.

Once I knew the MGX was going the accolades of the T120 & the fact I've never had a Triumph tipped the scales in Triumphs favor.

I am sorry for your wallet , do you mind if i ask how much did they give you for a almost brand new MGX21 ?

I see them going for 15990 usd now..... in a couple of years .... they will sell at same price as a small block .

The only problem with Triumphs is they come to a stop every day at 4:00pm for tea...

Once I knew the MGX was going the accolades of the T120 & the fact I've never had a Triumph tipped the scales in Triumphs favor.

I've had five Triumphs. All were good bikes for their specific purpose except for a 2013 Bonneville that clearly had a factory defective motor. It had 13 different oil leaks in its first year and less than 1100 miles. Neutral gear indicator switch twice, oil cooler lines, output shaft seal three times, right side engine case cover twice and cant remember the others, anywhere it could have a leak, it leaked. After the 7th or 8th repair, I contacted Triumph USA head office in Atlanta trying to get them to replace the motor for obvious reasons. All they were willing to do was to continue repairing it under the warranty. The problem with that was there was only a year left on the warranty and after that it would be on my dime.

That experience didn't sour me on the brand though, any of the manufacturers can and do produce a reject bike every now and then, unfortunately I was the one to get it. My fifth Triumph after the Bonnie was a Triumph Trophy SE, an amazing touring bike with no issues.
