Puzzle me this (parts)

So, why do the 8v engines have two different part numbers for those small nameplate badges on the spark plug covers? Surely, someone could have designed these to be the same on both sides...

Of course, ''someone' often seems to be on vacation in Italy.

With a second 8v on the way to the CARCollection, I thought I'd start making up a list of parts to keep on hand when I ran across this oddity.

Yeah, I know they are actually different - it just seems to me that since the company has been inconsistent on such things when they were a lot more visible, it's odd they wouldn't have saved some money by making them all the same in this case.

And I do owe Steve a beer. Not for this, but for setting up my Norge back in 2011 when I got it in Georgia. It's held up fairly well since then.
