Hard to believe that that $20 lawn mower battery we bought in 2010 for LaSandras bike has to be replaced already...

If the naysayers are to be believed the bike should have rusted into pieces from the uncontrolled outgassing!!
Tractor supply has one that has the CCA rating of a car battery for 50 bucks!!!!

Yep, last one lasted 5yrs, sealed and never had to charge it till last year. What I used in the 700.

Count me as one of the "naysayers" if you like. I've experienced first hand the effects of using flooded-cell batteries (have the stains on my Ambos transmission and a rotted seat pan to prove it). I'll never use a battery in any of my bikes with vented caps or even a vent hose ever again. There are much better and safer alternatives for not a lot of $$ more.

+1 Charlie, no one wanted to work on the old rusty stuff but me. The ones that rode more than sat were better, more airflow.
