Temps were forecast to go to 60F today, in bright sun and no wind, so I wandered out to the barn this morning to wake up the crew. Both the F650 and the Mille had dead batteries, unresponsive to resuscitation efforts. NAPA had a lawn tractor battery that would fit the Guzzi for now, so within the hour I had juice, tire pressure, fluids checked and brakes tested. And off for the first couple of laps for the season. Fired right up, ran clean. Scared the shit out of the young cats who have patrolled the barn for mice all winter.
There's still a lot of dirt and gravel on the roads, left from traction-sanding season, so no brisk cornering for a while. And I still have two months of skiing on the agenda. But the F650 gets a new battery tomorrow, so we're mostly back in the motorcycle business.
