Time for a shine
« on: April 13, 2018, 07:54:07 PM »
My daughters v50 is looking a little tired cosmetically. Mainly its alum fork lowers and engine and rear drive cases . It looks as though they had some sort of clear coat applied which has clouded and oxidized. I plan on stripping them down and polishing things back up. Should I re apply a clear coat or just re polish periodically?  I thought about other options like powder coat but would like to keep it as original as possible.  It need not be showroom quality just maintainable. TIA    dave

If you polish the aluminum and wax it periodically it will look good for quite awhile.  Possibly consider vapor blasting...
