V7 iii screen options and adjustable levers
« on: May 13, 2018, 03:33:54 AM »
Hi, just got my v7 and running it in... wondering what the choices are for a screen and adjustable levers are...

>Screen
The genuine Guzzi one at motoguzzi.com seems quite low, has anyone fitted one and can they measure the distance from the bottom of the screen at the headlight to the top?
I had a screen on my V7ii which was 380mm which was about right.

>Levers
Again there are some in the Guzzi accessories catalogue, anyone found any other options?

Thanks

Chrisk,

Congrats on owning a fine bike.

Screen:  Check Twisted Throttle ( i got mine from them), Dart.

Levers:  I got mine off eBay,  Check the store at Guzzitech they might still have them, pazzo - good quality but pricey.

Search the forum for lots of advice as both of these subjects have been covered.

I have the Dart Classic screen and the Lextek Products adjustable levers on my V7ll. Both work well.

For a small flyscreen I have a Dart Marlin in my V7 III, it is great.  Got it direct from Dart flyscreens.

For levers I just installed a Pazzo brake lever yesterday and absolutely love it.  Perfect fit, adjustable and look beautiful.

Happy with the pazzo copies out of China - cheap & colour coordination options. Work fine. Delivery with days, even to here. Found on eBay. Multiple sellers.

The factory screen that came with the V7C put the wind to the visor. Had a choice of trimming it down to the instruments, or removing it. I removed it, but avoided the wind problem by adding the Racer rear sets. The V7S came with the tiny flyscreen (a la the Racer) and that works fine, but also have the rear sets on that as well. That small amount of forward positioning avoids the wind problem, at least for me. Note - it's always going to be personal preference, but don't be afraid of trimming the plastic if what you get isn't perfect.
