Info request: Telaio Rosso V7 Sport history
« on: May 15, 2018, 12:17:57 PM »
Hi all,

Former member, long-time lurker, recent re-joiner.  Let the guffaws commence.  You know who you are.

I am looking for good info on the original V7 Sport model's genesis, and if anyone knows a US-based owner who would talk or allow his/her bike to be photographed.

I have looked at Charlie Cole's website and the fantastic information on the smooth-case 5-speed transmissions, but I have not been able to reach Charlie in several years.  There's some info in my old copy of Guzziology specific to the transmission, but I am looking for more on the whole bike, and why Guzzi decided to make it.

Any help would be appreciated.

I believe I own a copy, the one with Glenn Bewley's photo on the cover!  It's only been a decade since I laid hands on it.

Thanks!

Montauk, NY? Wished I'd seen it. Ralph Lauren's awesome Ferrari collection is there, too.

Thanks Groover! Us Eye-talians (at least those from the old country) appreciate it when y'all spell our language correctly. As per living history knowledge  on the Telaio Rosso bikes, Bruno Scola in Carate Brianza ( Milano) maybe the best person . He was working  at Moto Guzzi with Lino Tonti when development took place  I don't know if he is  still active as a Guzzi dealer as he must be well into his late  seventies if not older.
