white globs pouring in Maxima 10w-60 oil??!
« on: June 28, 2018, 02:55:46 PM »
Just finishing an oil change on my griso. Noticed the first quart, I thought I was seeing things and continued going. Second quart a nickel sized glob of cream colored almost bacon grease looking stuff went down the funnel.

WTF is this? Anything I should be concerned with? Not sure on the age of the oil, it came out of Larry Klein's estate auction, but doesn't seem like it's been sitting around or anything.

Suggestions?

Shake all bottles of oil, it mixes up the properties.

Yup. Just called Maxima. He told me "I bet your bottles more than 2 years old" then he asked me to read the date code on the bottle. Mines 4 1/2 years old. He said theres no worries its the anti foaming agent and wont hurt a thing.

Anti-foaming, pro-globbing.
