Shorten a CalVin Windshield?

Maybe shorten a California Windshield could also solve the buffeting problem for some drivers (deflectors, taller shields, vents and holes were discussed already).
A friend of mine is a graphic designer and I have asked her to make some proposals.:

If you are attempting to lessen the buffering by shorting the shield height.... all I have to say is good luck! That pretty much like the theory if I remove the windshield in a rain storm I won’t get as wet. 😂😂😂

maybe somebody here already tried this?
Maybe a shorter shield moves away the buffeting from your head.
On my V11 Le Mans the fairing also made the riding experience noisy. Only a new helmet (BMW Sport Integral) solved that problem for me.
I once tried a taller shield (customer-specific, made by MRA) on that fairing but the result was disappointing. The taller shield added more noise + buffeting.
The stock CalVin windshield (I tried different positions) looks good but riding faster than 90 km/h (56 mph) is not fun.
On my Griso (naked bike, just add a fly screen) I do not have those problems at all.

Jan, I have considered this, also. A combination of more rake and less height should result in clean airflow to the rider's chest. The smaller area of the shield will create less low pressure and the greater rake better laminar flow. A shorter shield would probably make the bike more stable at speed, as well.

Actually Guzzi makes them!
Clean airflow to the face IMHO is the only way to go as so many things can cause buffering

The stock windshield on the CalVin that I got last month was very annoying and ruining the ride. In my frustration, I just removed the whole thing. I tried flip flopping the brackets side to side, but that wouldn't have done enough. A new larger screen (Rifle?) will make sense when the weather gets colder or in the event I take a trip anywhere. The stock screen is in the corner for now. Much cleaner air flow with no screen.

Rifle has a jig for the Vintage windshield mounting brackets. They have a variety of heights, widths, and tints or will do custom heights. They fit very well.

Hi Jan,
When I removed the stock windscreen, I left the vertical blades in place, so the mounting brackets of the foglights were unaffected. I've thought of putting a small bikini fairing on the bike using those mounts - but that might be like putting a bikini on a fat girl and that could hurt your eyes! The vertical blades don't look the best, but they are nice pieces of stainless steel. The cleaner airflow when moving along is a vast improvement. I wear a visored helmet so the vibration and wind noise with the stock windscreen was really annoying to me.

Somebody from the German Guzzi Forum also has a CalVin without a windshield, but he made special holders which support the original fog lights holders.
