The sun's as far away as it's going to get until this time next year.  The Earth's hotter this time of year because the land is mostly north of the equator and so heats up easier and faster this time of year than when it's summer south of the equator (which is mostly ocean and a few kiwis and roos).  You may now continue with your regularly scheduled programming.

Here in Waldheim, we’ve been dealing with heat in the mid nineties...and 80-90% humidity. As usual, I‘ve grown used to it. There is just too much outside work not to do so.

OK man, here's a way to feel cooler.  If the Earth were tilted the other way and summer in the northern hemisphere were in January, we would be 7 degrees hotter.  Feel cooler?

Me to Dusty, I don't know if it's just my  aging process, I'm 65 and in very good health. I exercise on a regular basis and eat well. My weight is exact for my height. However for the past 3 weeks it's like I have to force air in and out my lungs when I'm outside, which one s very little.
