no title.

in Ohio that makes it a parts bike. Had the seller bothered to get one, it would make the bike worth an additional $500 or more.

Easily worth the asking price, if only for parts, which could possibly be the end result. It mentions lack of a title and even though is says Vermont can title it, it is becoming increasingly difficult to then get it licensed in your home state so I'm told.

Some of the New England states only require a bill of sale for bikes 15 yrs. or more old. (that would not include CT & MA). Information is typically available on state DMV websites.  R3~

The two Bosch electronic ignition boxes alone are worth 500.  Pretty hard to come by. Too bad about the title, would make a fun project. They are sweet running little bikes. I would get it for parts if I didn't have to spend another 500 to ship it.

For anyone on the fence due to lack of title, I would definitely check with the local DMV regulations.

I purchased a barnyard non-titled 1981 Suzuki GS550 out of state a couple years ago and was successfully able to get it re-titled in NYS under these conditions:

Definitely check with your DMV regulations if you want to jump on this. Most people stop at the thought of hassle, but this was a 15 minute in and out transaction for me since all they asked for was that you have all of your documentation at the ready.

I agree.   You can show up at the DMV office in Virginia with a title-less bike and fill out an "Abandoned Vehicle" form.    It could be a bike you bought with no title, a bike you found in a field, a bike you found in a barn on a lot you just bought.

After a VIN search, physical inspection of the bike by a state trooper, and a sworn affidavit of how you obtained it (and payment of a fee), you can get a fresh Virginia title in your name, good anywhere.

It's a pretty enlightened policy, I must say ....
