Capitol Celebration music
« on: July 04, 2018, 09:41:26 PM »
Maybe its me, but the music on the Capitol Celebration tonight was not up what I was expecting.

Of all the music and musicians in the US of A, they couldn't find a better lineup.

Temptations were ok.
Jimmy Buffet would have been better without the dancing chorus line.
Beach Boys were pretty good,
Pentatonix, please not again.

Army band was pretty good.
National Symphony was good.

the rest where forgettable.
just a big yawn for me.

I went to the local fireworks show.  Really good one. The weather was great for the first time in memory.  I came in late but got a prime spot.  Only one parking space left.

Then cruised with the top off the Corvette and listening to Los Lobos.  The Mrs and I got a Softserve cone on the way home.

So we have fireworks, cruise, tunes, weather and ice cream.   Worked out good for us.
