Anybody have a contact number for Steve Walker? I heard that he was putting a car on a 1400 but its been a few years since and was curious how it turned out. Thanks

Steve hasn't ridden much if at all since his illness , not even sure if he still has the motorcycle . Not trying to sound snarky , but car tires aren't designed the same way as a motorcycle tire .

There is an AZ Guzzisti who has one on his 1400 and swears by it...but I am with Dusty, and many others on this subject.  Not designed the same...not designed for a motorcycle.

I guess I read the OP differently.   I thought Steve was putting a side CAR on his 1400. That would be a hoss. :thumb:

Yes, I was under the impression Steve was having a car put on a 1400 so I was interested in how it went for I'm contemplating it.

That's what I first thought also.

Im not asking about a car tire on a 1400, I'm asking about putting a SIDECAR on a 1400. A SIDECAR is often just called a CAR. sorry for the confusion  So my question is does any body know anything about it or can they put me in contact with Steve Walker whom rumor has it that he was planning to put a sidecar on a 1400. Ive not seen Steve in a number of years although I consider him a friend.

Thanks, Ken. I can get in touch with him there, just to say hi. Someone has put a sidecar on a 1400, Google has a couple pictures of them. It's one of those things I'll have to just do it and learn from it, the knowledge isn't out there yet for that particular combination
PS he hasn't taken to eating those woods rats, has he? They are tasty

1st met Steve at Vahalla MC Campground in Homer, LA.  thought the Vicking had landed.

He's doing well. Changed his hobby to photography like Ken says. He's into his church. I went by his neck of the woods today, but I was on the run. Steve's always been a dandy!

We disagree about everything , and still always ended up at the same table every dang camp out

Hey Dusty , what do you call that gas tank ?

Well Steve , this a toaster tank .

Those of you who know the story are already laughing , those who don't need to come to The Okie or Cedar Vale , it takes too long to tell in print

You’re gonna hate Wednesday’s now!! Got you laughing good with that one John!

Did I tell you the one about the stuttering Bible salesman yet?

Might have to let that one out at the upcoming Wisconsin gathering...hope they don’t banish me afterwards!

Steve is pretty active on Facebook.  Like mentioned, he sold his Cal 14 and hasn't been riding due to health issues.  He's been real active with photography and with his church since slowing down with his riding.  Seems to be doing well.
