Eldo 1400 Bags and Windshield ideas

Hi guys. My dad is picking up a new Eldo 1400 this weekend.  He wanted me to check to see if anyone had a source for suggestions for any aftermarket bags (hard or soft} besides Hepkos, and windshields.   Thanks

I have the large Guzzi touring windshield and it is great.  I also have the Hepco C-Bow mounts, lots of choices, I got the Big Buffaloes- would prefer gloss black but they are great bags.  Some here have purchased the Touring bag set and adapted but they will chime in.

If you like the California hard bags, they offer leather clad hard bags that would go with the Eldorado classic style.

Clearview windshields will be the best prices for windshields. They offer three nights and widths for around 200 bucks.

BUT you need the OEM hardware right - the cross braces/frame/mount pieces as all they supply is the plastic.

It's good stuff though, and I like the options like the vent and the recurve at the top!

Yes Kev, they have the holes drilled for the factory brackets. Funny thing about the design is that the wind goes over ones head regardless if you are looking through it or over it. If I had known this prior to getting the tallest shield I woukd have probably opted for the medium. The slight turn up lip at the top does a great job of lifting the air over the ridders head with no buffering. That being said, the tall shields that's looked through comes in really nice when that rock comes off a tire in front of a bike and also protecting the ridder from a determined June bug or bumble bee:)

These bags are BMW/2 reproductions so brackets will need to be adapted. The owner also adapted a Harpers fairing.

Karl, as was mentioned by Elvisboy, I have gone the distance on bags on my Eldo. I began with the H-B C bows and their largest capacity bags, (which are now taking up space on the garage floor). I have since adapted the factory hard bags and finally installed the rear rack and trunk on my bike. If you do a search on me here on the board, I have well documented what I have done along with pics. Too much detail to go into again, but all is doable if someone wants to.

There are pros and cons to all renditions of what I have done. I don't know where you're located, but I would be more than happy to elaborate over the phone if that is practical for you or your pop.

edit: Unless something has changed, to the best of my knowledge, H-B is the only aftermarket offering for the 1400 Eldo. Because of the difference of the rear fender and covered shocks, aftermarket mounts for other 1400 models will not work.
