EV screen feedback pls

I'm thinking of putting a used EV Guzzi screen on my Cali Stone and looking for feedback on turbulence noise around my ears and overall protection. I got tinnitus and found my old screen too noisy. I'm 6'2" for reference.

Current too short screen with turned up lip creating turbulence noise, it's been removed a long time ago as no fairing is actually quieter:

I have this fairing, and am pleased. No buffeting, but at 6'1" the screen could use another inch in height.
Your seat may be a little lower than my EV so it might work out to your advantage.
If I use my 2003 EV for a tour I will probably figure out how to mount an extender, or just switch to a full helmet.

I think Michael D has one of those on his EV.  He cut a couple of coffee cup sized holes in his.  Said it helped with buffeting. 

I had Plexifairing 3 on mine and it was perfect.  Unfortunately,  I broke it and they discontinued PF3 for the Cali.  I replaced it with a PF2 and it's disappointing by comparison but acceptable.   I think I would get another PF3 and take a heat gun to it to make it fit.

  I bought a Gustafson tall version, keeps me dry and no buffeting.  It has a curve at the top different than the original.  I'm 6' and with a Sargent seat (taller) I look through the screen.  Seems ok to me although not to sporty.

The taller EV touring screen ain't that bad, Plexifairing 3 is a bit better. I would try it out. I got the fairing like xackley has stock for late EV's. I installed a lot of PF3's on Cali's, they work great.

This is such a subjective situation. I don't know at what point wind on your head is an issue. I'd ride naked if I could, so I wanted a screen to to keep the air mostly of my chest, allowing for extended slab duty, and not create turbulance on my head. My solution looks alot like the one you said doesn't work for you, and it does the job. Givi A660. I also discovered with this screen, a small change in angle makes a significant difference. I simply tried to match the rake of the forks, and that seems to work best.

I like that EV screen better than a fairing, but it's still a lot of in front my face. That mustard stone seems to be the business, if that looks good to you, I bet it works a treat.

Have a National Cycle Plexistar 2 om my EV . Looking just above it. Best I have tried. Have tried 6 other screens.

Been riding a '98 EV for the past 10 or so years and ride and commute to work year round.
During the cold months in middle TN I use a National Cycle Plex-Star II with a Laminar Lip and can ride with helmet shield up and no buffering or wind in face. I'm 6' 1" and use a Corbin saddle. I have tried the smaller Guzzi shield (police style) and could never get it right with the buffering.

For the most part I prefer as small of a shield as possible with clean air to face and just enough to take pressure off my chest. By far for me the OEM California Sport windshield is the best and is the one I use most of the year.

I purchased the EV screen and I have mixed feelings about it.
The wind protection for my hands, body and top of my legs is excellent.
0n the highway, there is head turbulence when seating normally, if the full face visor is open, that will shake pretty bad. Ducking down to have my eyes about 2" above the screen or lower (from approx 6") it all smooths out.
The CHiP style open face helmet works great with the sun visor helping the aerodynamics, smooth with  natural seating position.
Also, that barn door seems to slightly strain the engine on the highway.

Ah well, it will be good in cold weather...

you will also find the the OEM screen will make your bike handle poor especially on a windy day. I even tried a Laminar Lip on the ODE and still no good. Like I said earlier the Sport Shield with fresh air to the head is the best. Same thing on my Breva..

The barn door was the worst windshield I was ever behind. The buffetting, rain coming into the back of my neck, the high speed wobble. Then I drilled it full of holes. Now I can go 80 mph, wearing a baseball cap and sip on a pepsi with virtually no turbulence. I don't know why it works but it works wonderfully.
