I have had this too. Started about 5k miles. First time really worried me as I was on a rally. But it ran, just a little lumpy at idle and insufficient revs could see it stall. Above idle, I did not notice any power problems. After about 15 min., it goes out and back to normal. It seems that dampness may have something to do with it and possibly sitting unused. Yesterday was my first ride since the following Sunday and it started in that mode. As usual, in about 15 min, it went out. I am still barely in warranty and will try to get some joy on it. I wonder if it is battery related as in if you don't have a really fresh battery, a slight lowering of the voltage combined with damp and sitting unused can trigger it. Questions?

He went through a string of MVs, Ducatis, and Guzzis ending up with a first year Cali 1400 (all from FBF).He did the Cali home and a day or so later came over to my place to go for a ride with Jay and I. We didn't get 5-10 miles from my house when his demand sensor (less than 100 miles on the bike) gave up the ghost.The old man (Eraldo) came himself to pickup or maybe it was to drop it off after it was fixed. I guess that's the kind of customer service spending $100k on bikes over a ~ten year period used to get you with Ferracci.I only spent like $20k in 3 years so he basically pissed on me when I BROUGHT my bike in and asked for help.Anyway, good luck, hope they take care of it.

Dan, Make sure there is no tugging on the throttle cables when handle bars are turned from stop to stop. Mine did the same thing when I added bar risers and adjusted the bars back. When bars were turned hard to the left it would tug ever so slightly on one of the throttle cables to the demand sensor and throw the code. I hope it's something that simple in your case. I have only heard of one of those sensors going bad thus far. I've also read one case where the two metal, cable guide tubes locknuts going into the sensor had loosened and caused the problem. Have to pull the tank to check that one.From the shop manual, Should be an easy diagnostic.White rear connector throttle grip position (tracks C-D) P0155� inconsistent signalError cause� Two illogical voltage signals have been detected at PIN 23 and 11 of the ENGINE connector(tracks A-B)Troubleshooting� Check the parameters of the white rear connector Throttle Grip Position Sensor - tracks Cand D: if one of the two values clearly deviates from 600-1400 mV, it means that this potentiometeris defective. Check the throttle grip sensor connector and the control unitconnector: if not OK, restore. If OK, check that cable resistance between the throttle gripsensor connector and the control unit is a few tenths of Ohm: if this is not the case, restorewiring. If the value is correct, replace the complete throttle grip sensor
I can check the cables and some of the list. I thought the ride by wire feature eliminated the cables?
Dan,Throttle by wire systems just mean that in the end the throttle doesn't have a direct mechanical connection and complete control over the throttle butterfly.But there are some that, for whatever reason, still use a cable to go some distance between the actual throttle and the demand sensor/throttle sensor (or whatever electrical component sends the signal that the electrical throttle servo uses to determine throttle position).Sounds like Guzzi used one of those.
