fuel line disconnect Breva 1100?

As some or most know removing gas tank form a Breva 1100 can be a PITA. Noted some folks have modified theirs buy removing the plastic disconnect and installing these?

5/16 is close enough to fit.

I thought the CARC fuel lines were 6mm, they are on my 1100 Griso.

That might be nice for replacing the plastic on a lot of bikes...EVT in my world
