1100i Torque Values
« on: October 02, 2018, 02:50:40 PM »
Kiwi_Kev is just about to reassemble his clutch, I tried to find him the torque settings for the bolts that hold the flywheel onto the crankshaft and also the ones around the clutch, it's not clear what they are referring to in the workshop manuals.
If someone has the figures handy we would appreciate a copy.

Thanks in advance

Roy

30 ft. lbs. for the M8-1.25 x 25 grade 10.9 bolts that secure the flywheel to the crankshaft. I use schnorr washers and blue Loctite here as well.

22 ft. lbs. for the M8-1.25 x 20 grade 8.8 bolts that secure the ring gear/cover plate to the flywheel.

Excellent, thanks for your help Roy & Charlie I’m running out of excuses not to reassemble her now.

Yep I have new ones thanks except the boltshop gave me 8.8’s so I’ll swop them over when I pick up the new washers they ordered for me.

Looks like I’ll get a day off work today so will have the gearbox attached with any luck.

I ordered a new tail light assembly from MG Cycle as my old one is broken . Gettin it shipped to my son in LA so my wife who’s visiting our other son in NY can collect it on the way through in a week or so.

I opted to stay home and look after the dogs ( work on my bike ) .’
