Added my wife to the fold this weekend
« on: October 01, 2018, 10:13:41 PM »
Sold my Harley and it virtually paid for both the guzzis We now own, hers is a 04 breva 750 with lo seat, lowered shocks, luggage, and 22k on the clock. I got the Cali stone 1100, 11,000 mi on mine, funny thing is the Harley was an 04 as well so we just shuffled the deck. Ive had 2 guzzis Previously (v11sport,Griso) but she is new to motorcycling and recently got her license, wanted an upgrade from her aprilia mojito 150, I couldnt think of a better beginner bike thats also worth keeping around after the learning phase, especially when shes 53.

Congrats on the new addditions to the fold.

And don't think of the Breva as a beginners bike. I went from a 02 V11 Stone to a 16 V7II Stone and am having a great time with her. Does what I want her to do and don't have any plans on going back to something bigger.

On a ride to Dayton NV my riding partner had a hard time keeping up with my lowly 744cc bike....and he was riding a BMW 1100.

Sometimes bigger isn't better!!

Ride what you like..the important thing is to just ride often!!!

And welcome to the madness that is Moto Guzzi ownership...

This is a great place to ask questions about most anything...Guzzi related or not.

Some of it even helpful!!

You’ve chosen some well-paired and interesting bikes! My wife’s first bike is her V7 and I got a California 1100 Titanium to ride along with her. Both are extremely satisfying to ride and the 1100 doesn’t feel like it wants to go a lot faster than hers, like my Tuono does. I hope you and your wife enjoy many happy miles together.

That’s what I was getting at, great starter bike that’s also a worthy keeper, plus she can manage it easily. I have a feeling she’ll have this bike for a long time

I was having a lot of fun setting it up and test riding her little 750, moved along better than I thought it would, I know all to well the wanting to go too fast bikes as well, had a RSVR for years, loved that bike but she loved to go about 75, all the time any road. Lol

That's awesome. As nice as those bikes are, I'm envious of you having a wife that wants to come along on her own bike. Salud.

Excellent!  I converted my husband to a rider about a year and a half ago and we have the most fun.  We hope you enjoy many years of PTW togetherness!   :thumb:

Welcome Debenguzzi, if you haven’t been contacted yet by Mn mgnog rep John Ulrich you probably will soon. There are a few Guzzi couples here in Mn so welcome to the club. The last couple years the Mn Guzzi rally has met for the annual gathering mid June in Grand Marais. A good time.  Look forward to meeting you at a rally sometime.  The pictures show Mary and myself with our original Guzzi’s ,since than we added the 04 Breva for her and the 07 Norge for me.

22,000 on the Breva? Only just run in! A lot of fun, there. There's helpful info on the MG750 Yahoo site - manuals, how to info & the like, from those who have gone before.
