Guzzi in TV series
« on: November 23, 2018, 10:26:19 PM »
I've just started watching the HBO series called "My Brilliant Friend".  Story of two young girls in 50's Italy who form a life friendship.  Italian with subtitles.  It is a wonderful program with well-developed characters, authentic scenery, and post-war poverty culture.  Episode two includes numerous street scenes with vintage cars and motos in the background.  Vespa Faro Basso is highlighted and easy to spot.  I kept waiting to see a Guzzi.  There is one prominant 2-stroke which might be Guzzi but I can't determine the tank logo.  There is another brief 4-stroke I can hear but can't see it long enough.  I'll be continuing to watch future episodes to look for confirmed Guzzi footage.

As an aside  -  I read (on the 'net, so it must be true!) that the series (or possibly parts of it) is subtitled also for its Italian TV audience because the Neapolitan dialect that is used in the series is so difficult to understand.

Good luck with your search, Patrick!
