Many of the regulars show up early, but not six month early!

Had to run to cycle gear to get some cable lube, so took the long cut following the ocean, then turned inland.
Along here, there was a sign proclaiming, "Ocean view vacation homes starting at $1,495,000."

You know, Dusty.. I was thinking at the time, "not a million and a half, only 1.495.."
Cedar Vale is another world. Honestly, I like it better.. but.. I don't dislike SoCal or the people that live here. We are all the same under the skin. Really.

In Port Aransas, Texas for the week. got the pedal bikes so Debra and I can ride all over town and out to the beach. Weather has been perfect so far.

I would love to move to California except for two things, cost of living and the quantity of people. Sometimes I think Oklahoma is way over crowded.
The best part of riding a motorcycle is to tilt the horizon and to lift the front coming out of a corner and to drift the back end powering thru loose dirt and to catch a little air topping a hill and... yeah it's all good!

I actually used that facility pictured about 3 1/2 weeks ago.  Well worth it.

Had a beer at the Poop deck too.

Then went on a Caribbean cruise .

A Mahindra.   What model is it?   How does it do?   What size bush-hog will it pull?   Enquiring tractor-less minds want to know ....

Yes. I live in Mahindra country. The largest dealer in the USA is in Anderson Mo and they're awesome tough machines.  Mine is model 2538 (38HP). I had an eMax 25 before this one, but it proved to be way too small for what I needed so I upgraded.

I don't pull a brush hog, but I do plan to borrow my neighbors 6' hog this spring though. If his old 8N will handle it, I know this thing will.

I use a 6' box blade, 6' rake, 6' finish mower and an 6' cultivator.

I'm getting rid of my three antique tractors (Ferguson 50, Ferguson 35, and Farmall Cub) and planning to buy something new (-ish, maybe).   Mahindra dealers are thin on the ground here, and the prices are climbing up nearer to the Deere and Kubotas, which have held their prices down some, probably in response to Mahindra's competition.

Five-foot implements are what I've been using on the 35 (six-foot on the 50); but I'm really looking for the smallest tractor that will effectively pull a 5-foot heavy-duty bush-hog and a 6-way heavy Kewanee blade .....

Had a lovely little ride yesterday in about 48 degrees F down into Cornwall for lunch, then to drop off stuff for relatives and then home. Blue skies. Great to be on the bike after a few weeks off. For the next couple of months its only going to be every second weekend I am going to be able to ride it. I highly recommend Chequered Flag Cafe just outside Liskeard Cornwall. Great food, books to read, or to buy, second hand gear and bikes, workshop etc etc.

You should look at the Mahindra eMax 25 or the Max 26 line then. Right now is the time to buy too, with huge end of year savings. They're small and can be fitted with belly mowers, can handle a 5' hog and that blade. But, you'll want more hp before long like I did. I don't know how I managed a full year with only 25HP.

BTW, there's a reason Mahindras prices are climbing. The 7 year warranty and the toughest, most powerful tractor money can buy today. You should research the Mahindra Common Rail engine too. That's a huge plus and money saver that nobody else is doing.  I'm very happy with mine. Around here, small JD's are rare. Mahindra is THE market here. Small Deeres are made in China, so you might as well save some money and buy a Yanmar since they're the same thing with a $8000 green paint job. Plus, they can't lift an infant. Kubotas are nice, but I needed more lift power, and the HST option on Kubotas are weak after robbing of a lot of HP from the PTO. I also wanted that 7 year power train warranty and 2 year bumper to bumper. All this of course is the opinion I reached after months of research and testing out. FWIW, New Holland was my 2nd choice, but I much prefer the 4 cyclinders of Mahindra to the 3 of everyone else.

It helped that a dealer is 30 minutes away and has been in business dealing tractors since 1905. Wish I could say that about my Guzzi :-)
