Guzzi Diag/Beetle map session in New England?
« on: April 30, 2019, 03:25:46 AM »
I can’t be the only guy here who really wants to try a Beetle map but lacks the confidence to do it alone.  I’ve read the directions on his site and while it seems relatively straight forward I’d still rather have someone run through it with me.  Does anyone in New England want to get together and try installing maps?  Getting a few Guzzi riders together to tune the bikes seems like it might be fun.

Im guessing mine will need updating at some time.  With the aftermarket exhaust, and open airbox on it.. but I just got it, and havent put enough miles on her to know for sure.

So find a good location, and call it a Guzzi Tech Day.  Throw out some FREE food and Guzzisti will flock to you.  We did one in NJ some years back.  Two of us came out of pocket for some breakfast and lunch stuff.  One cheapskate showed JUST for the food.  Even pressed me early with the question “Cam, when is lunch?  I have somewhere else to be”.

Wayne did a Guzzi Tech Day and we had 10 people helping crab my EV to pull the tranny.  Of course he did more than all 10 of us combined, but it still made for a nice winter gathering.

That said, I was able master the remapping chore with no adult supervision and if I can do it then anyone can do it.  If you eliminate the communication errors up front by getting the right cables it really will go as shown in Mark's pictures.  Just have your browser with the tutorial open along with Guzzidiag on the computer that is connected to the bike and take it step by step.

Thousands of people did it:

-Make guzzidag working for diagnostics, problems, aks here.
- read your map from the bike, with the iaw reader. If you can manage that successful, nothing is in the way to write a map on .

I even made some youtube showing it, search for may name in youtube
