I'm certain this has been asked here before but I wasn't able to find the answer: will a Stelvio shock fit on a Breva 1100/Norge/ 1200 Sport? I stumbled across a used, aftermarket shock for a Stelvio at a reasonable price. I wouldn't mind a little more ride height on my Breva 1100 but I don't know if it will cause some mechanical issues.

Will the uni joint complain at being operated at a greater angle while transmitting torque, or is the extra effect so minuscule, it’s not worth considering ?

All the CARC bikes have the same rear linkage, swingarm etc. Stelvios don't break so neither will others fitted with a Stelvio shock. It's a popular mod among Griso owners. If I had my time again I'd of got my Matris made up to Stelvio length.

Hi Pete.
I'm getting tired of the harsh rear spring on my Griso. I'm ready to go spend on a Matris rear shock, and I'm ready for a Stelvio shock.
Which spring do you recommend? Is the hydraulic spring preload worth the extra money.

I've had a Stelvio shock on my 2006 Norge for 100,000km (60,000mi) with no ill-effect.
Uni joints are still fine.

I did have to remove some alloy from part of the pork chops to avoid the underside of the swingarm fouling when the shock was on full extension.

On my Stelvio with the Matris M46KID shock it's easy to adjust preload with a hex key, so I don't miss the hydraulic adjuster much.

Thanks, that's just the answer I was looking for.

Cool.  The preload adjuster is visible in the photo, for reference.
