small wiindshild EV ?
« on: June 03, 2019, 10:07:11 AM »
My new to me has the fantastic Sawnee fairing on it, but for me it's a little to good for the summer months. What is a good small shield to block some wind?

Hi,

In the summer months I use this OEM shield:

That looks about what I am looking for. A little pricey. Thanks.

For hot weather riding , the small sport shield is wonderful. Good protection up to 80. Took my large touring shield off put it in the attic . The EV runs smoother with less frontal area to fight.

There is another small OEM screen for the EV around $200. Check with Harper's!

I love my factory OEM little screen. Shop for a used one.

I would be interested to see what the Harper's screen looked like and what kind of results people who have purchased them have gotten. The money is not too steep for a little screen that works well (and looks good) (NGC). Most all the comments here on the small OEM screen are happy ones, maybe this is just as good, and available.
I am skeptical of reviews on Amazon. The Slipstream might be good, but who knows?
Of course, the problem is that any screen might not work for me as well as it does for anyone else. It's a case of YMMV.

I got this one for my baby Breva. It looks like it should fit a 98 EV.

I have the small MG windshield posted above.  I would be willing to help you and trade it for the pesky Swanee you are using.

Price is better to bad no photo or description. I also found the slipstreamer  s-o6c which gets good reviews.https://www.amazon.com/Slipstreamer-S-06C-Motorcycle-Windshield-Clear/dp/B000GTUM9O/ref=pd_lutyp_crtyp_simh_2_1/134-8334702-7925538?_encoding=UTF8&pd_rd_i=B000GTUM9O&pd_rd_r=e18b205f-b180-4fa8-a9b0-63b4a31a327d&pd_rd_w=92qmk&pd_rd_wg=my2Nt&pf_rd_p=aeb22701-87b0-474c-89a6-ab0b8a41eab0&pf_rd_r=7KYMT7KN2B9J4WRBSZ0E&psc=1&refRID=7KYMT7KN2B9J4WRBSZ0E

Had one for a few weeks (recent bike purchase) on my 96 Cali i and hated it. Replaced it with a OEM shield and it's working well for me. Also the OEM hardware is far better/stronger.

The search is over! I picked up a second hand Guzzi sport shield at Hamlim Cycle while there demoing the new V85 which by the way lives up to the hype. Tom B who I rode down with spotted it sitting on a work bench. I ask if it was for sale ,it was ,so a deal was struck. Couldn't get it to fit in my Givi top case so Tom strapped it to the seat of his Convert. The passenger side of the Corbin seat on the EV was to small.

Give us a report when you get it mounted (adjusted). I'm interested to know what kind of results you get.

Just what I wanted, wind hits about mid helmet but it is clean air, keeps the wind off my chest, had it up to 90 and didn’t think about it so it must be okay.Best part it fit like it was made for the bike! Oh wait it was.i can swap back to the Swanee in 15 minutes.

Good deal.
I added a laminar lip to mine. Sometimes I ride with a 3/4 helmet and wanted to push the air up a little bit more.
