For left coasters, GP Cycles in San Diego is listing NOS 2017 V9’s for $5988 on eBay.  I bet they’d come down to $5500 if you buy direct to avoid their eBay fees.

Mid west shoppers go to www.cadrecycle.com for prices I never thought I’d see for new 17 Roamers.

I bought one at that price, super easy to work with,  and what a fun motorcycle!

So, have done it now! I blow the corona virus away with Zard.

4 kg weight saving and a fantastic sound.

Ciao
Lars

Great looking bike. How does it run with the Zard Exhaust?  Did you do a remap?

Hello alanp!

A remap is not necesssary.
It's all very simple. Remove the old exhausts, install new Zards, drive off, enjoy.  :bike-037:
It's all done in an hour - except for the last point, which takes as long as you want it to.

Best wishes

...and even though we all know about it, they still have them for sale.  Mmm.

Now if they had V85TTs for under $10k I might have to hook up the trailer and take a drive.

Maybe.  I bought a V9 Roamer from Cadre.  But, I think they may have sold out on the leftover V9 models.  Maybe they got some more in ???

Last I heard, they had some excellent deals on V7's.

Also, ya gotta add $550 freight and $50 doc fee to the price.

Cadre is a great place to buy a bike.   :thumb:

Enzo mentioned yesterday that they have 5 Roamers left.  All pearl white with red pin stripe.  Also he mentioned  "Happy to work package cash deals too".  I did not ask him to elaborate.  I am trying to back away.

When I talked to Enzo a few weekends ago, he said they had made a deal with the distributor to get 9 more, so I guess they have sold 4 since then.  I think these may be the very last ones that will be available at that price.  It is a killer deal.  That much bike for $6,000 out the door.  Sure leaves a lot of room to accessorize.  You can have a real kick-ass bike for under $10.  Pipes, beetle map, shocks, fork springs if necessary, wind screen, hepco-beckers, seat, crash bars, driving lights, heated grips - deluxe.

Everything you say is so true.  If I needed a bike, I would be all over this.  I keep hearing my wife's voice in the back of my mind.  Buy what you really want, not just because it is a bargain.  That is why I ended up with the V7III Carbon Dark over a Stone.  For my riding style and to take advantage of ALL the roads available in my area, an adventure bike fits the bill better than the rest.

But, it is so very tempting.

As you can see from my signature line a V9 is the last thing I need right now.  But!!  What a deal!!  Love my V7 but having that bit of extra punch from the V9 would be nice from time to time.

Or maybe a light coat of clear....

And not from a spray can.  In my experience, spray can paint doesn't hold up well against gasoline at all.
Consider taking it to a paint shop for that clear coat.

I was tempted last year to buy a salvage V9 to transplant the engine into my V7 III.
Now that I've got the leaking rear main seal, or some other malady requiring pulling the bike apart, that would be even more tempting.

So, first of all a K&N air filter has been installed. That is in connection with the Zard exhausts already a nice pull through. 🤪

By the way, I noticed today that the fastening of the gear shift pedal has come loose. So to all of you: Have a look and maybe tighten it again. Maybe this is also the reason for the problem of a broken gear shift pedal, which has been reported several times already!

Ciao

Did you remap for the exhaust and filter? I have the Zard slim and a Beetle map. Very happy with the performance. Might have to giv the K&N a go.

For me the Beetle map made a significant improvement. The stock bike ran great but with the Zard exhaust and Beetle map it runs even better. There was a delay in getting the exhaust so I had the Beetle map on the bike with the stock exhaust and could tell it run much better. Glad it happened that way so I did not just think it was the sound that made me think it was faster.  :thumb:
