2002 Cali turn signal switch

Evidently my turn signal switch has failed after 18 years. Evidently you have to replace the whole left hand switch housing for about $300. It looks like the switch itself for the turn signal inside is a sealed piece and not available on it's own. I had thought about taking a dremel to it and trying to take it apart to see if it can be salvaged by cleaning the inside connections since i'm not about to shell out $300 for a new switch. I figure at this point, I have nothing to lose. Has anybody ever salvaged one of these? Worse case I buy a different type of housing and wire it up.

You could consider a wrecker such as Pinwall or MG Classics for a 2nd hand one.

Watching this thread. The right-turn switch on my '04 Stone doesn't work very well - I have to push it just so, or the flasher doesn't come on. I've been dealing with this condition for a couple of years, waiting for the switch to die completely. When that day comes, I'll probably just replace both switch boxes with a pair from a wrecker - not necessarily Guzzi.

Spraying contact cleaner into the housing might help?

Try pushing some corn oil up in there, that’s what I would do.

I have this switch. Not sure where I got it (perhaps Tom Formberg via Paul Linn?) but it has a Pinwall tag on it. Not even sure it's from a Guzzi. Does it look like yours? I robbed the signal button off of it for a customer's Special Sport, but it's otherwise intact. Pay shipping and it's yours.

Charlie that looks exactly like the switch in my 03 Aluminum. That should work out fine for Jim.
